Send them away for a night or a weekend away. You can give the adult in the family a gift card to a specific place with a note that says “When the time feels right, we would love you to have a weekend away.” It might be best to let the adult tell the kids (after a date is chosen) so the kids aren’t asking to go when the rest of the family isn’t ready or able.
