Today I ask God to help me focus on consciousness rather than celebration
that I do not become so distracted by world events,
that I fail to pay attention to the healing needed in my own life.

I ask for the courage to see the darkness
within my own heart
and for light to illuminte understanding within in my own mind.

I pray for the families of those killed in Pakistan,
members of the Armed Forces that are away from home
and all innocent people involved in political actions.

I pray for compassion, logic and understanding
to enter the minds of all world leaders
and for continued healing for all unrest in our world.

Amen
